Was out last night to celebrate my grandmother's birthday, held at novotel, near liang court, somewhere in clarke quay. the atmosphere outside the hotel was quiet, perhaps it was still early.
The Square Restaurant - nothing was square about it at all, plates were still round, spoons were still oval, wonder what does the "square" represent then. International buffet was served, however, i felt it was more towards the japanese side, there was japanese curry, which was quite nice, if only i wasnt full, i would have taken some more. there was rojak, which was a bit blend, and laksa, which was sweet, kinda weird taste.
Overall, the food was not too bad. lack of an international variety. Lastly, the meal ended with chocolate fondule, and me doing the usual, drawing with chocolate. heres a picture for you to see =) inspired by chinese art of painting.
